Last Saturday, the first round viewing for the harness horses took place at the National Equestrian Centre in Ermelo. Out of the 46 inspected stallions, 14 are accepted for the second round viewing that will take place during the KWPN Stallion Show in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Twelve other stallions were declared ster.

On the 14th of April, the second and last trainings assessment of the five Harness Horse stallions and the Hackey-stallion, that are currently enrolled in the Performance Test at the KWPN-centre, took place. All six stallions then entered their last week of the Performance Test.
At the Harness horses keuring of the KWPN-NA in Howe, Indiana last week, two seven-year-old stallions obtained their stud license (under reservation of all the veterinary requirements): First Class and Fred.
René van der Kuil will leave the KWPN as of May 1st, 2016. From 1998 to 2007, René van der Kuil was employed by the KWPN in various functions. After a period of self-employment, René returned to the KWPN in 2010, now as a part-time inspector and coordinator Harness Horses.
He had the most fans in the audience, as was clearly expressed by the loud cheering and also the committee’s preference inclined towards Indiana (by Colonist). The exported Colonist had two sons in the championship round. A great success for his breeder Wim Cazemier, who is also co-owner and –breeder of the champion.

The last day of the KWPN Stallion Show the focus of attention goes to the Oregon Trophy. This year we expect this program to shake the Brabanthallen to its foundations again, as these explosive movers always cause a great deal of excitement!
The first round viewing of the Harness horse stallions attracted many visitors to the KWPN/KNHS-centre in Ermelo today. 44 stallions made an appearance, 20 of them received an invitation to the second round viewing in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and eleven got declared ‘ster’
