In the HITS Ocala Masters Grand Prix, Devin Ryan got a fourth with the eight-year-old Zirocco Blue VDL-son Eddie Blue. “He is brave, careful, has lots of blood and enjoys to jump”, his rider says enthusiastic. The win went to the Rascin-daughter Ciana.
The winner of the 1.55m World Cup in Warsaw was Marek Lewicki with the Lupicor-son Abigej. Lennard de Boer was the winner of the 1.45m with the only eight year old VDL Edgar M (s.Arezzo VDL), that was also third in the 1.50.
In the most Northern leg of the World Cup sequence, Unee BB (Gribaldi out of Ilarichta keur pref by Dageraad, breeder J.J.H. Spronck from Berg en Terblijt) made it to the top-3. The stallion, which made it to the second round viewing as a youngster, got 74,50% with his rider Jessica van Bredow-Werndl.

After Todd Minikus won two 1.45m-classes with the Landor S-son Zephyr last month, this week he hit the jackpot again at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. In both the 1.45m and the 1.50m, the pair was invincible.
The American rider Laura Graves is in excellent form with her top-horse Verdades. The gelding by Florett As could set a 80% score in the Grand Prix for the first time in his career and also won the 5* Kür to Music with an 82% score.
The Larino-son Apart could win his first 5* Grand Prix at Bordeaux. You could see it coming since Pieter Devos was constantly performing well with the breeding product of Stal Hendrix. The KWPN-recognized stallion Chaman was in third.
After four intensive days at the KWPN Stallion Show, it was not over yet for the foreign visitors. They could go with the guided tour on Sunday February 5th that went to visit Van Baalen dressage stables and De Wiemselbach in Ootmarsum.
It was a real fairytale, the farewell show for Valegro. THe crowd in the packed Brabanthallen saw a wonderful show that went back in time representing Valegro’s life. His dam and several of his half-sisters and brothers took part. The grand final was when the Master Himself came in and was ridden in a kür to music by Charlotte Dujardin.
