The descent reports of the Gelder stallions Matiz and Odin have been published, with the offspring of Odin (by Edmundo) being evaluated according to the pilot program. Matiz (by Eebert) has now shown a complete collection of foals.

After the approval of a Gelder stallion, descent research follows, in which at least ten foals are evaluated. This report is usually based on the foals offered on the Day of the Gelder Horse, but a stallion owner can also choose to have a complete collection evaluated at a central location.

Complete collections
Because there was not always a complete collection present on the Day of the Gelder Horse, sometimes a report was only completed after two or three years. In 2023, a pilot program was launched in which KWPN officials evaluate the foals at home and based on that, prepare a report. This allows for a descent report to be available more quickly.

KWPN Database
The descent reports of these two Gelder stallions can be found in the KWPN Database. The reports of Matiz and Odin can be found below under the heading 'descent report'.
