Colijn has very good conformation and powerful movement. His dam is Dolly, the Dutch Mare Show Champion and a broodmare who passes on her traits to her offspring. One of her first sons, the Grand Prix dressage horse Just Mickey (s.Michelangelo), won the Swedish Championship twice under Tinne Vilhelmson and represented Sweden in the Olympics. Dolly's daughter Wolly Ann (s.Stravinsky xx) placed seventh in the World Breeding Championships in Verden, and Colijn's full sister Zelly finished twice among the top ten horses in the Pavo Cup and performed a very good mare test. Colijn's granddam Vanessa is one of the many international sport horses that descend from the generally acclaimed foundation mare Karin. Colijn's sire is Son de Niro. His sire De Niro, who has produced many champions, was the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. Given his well-established performance genes and interesting bloodlines, Colijn should follow in the footsteps of his renowned dam.
