Cupido captures hearts with his good jumper conformation and desirable lineage; L'Esprit, the 2006 KWPN Stallion Champion, is his sire. Under Marco Kutscher, L'Esprit's sire Lupicor was very successful in the show ring. With additional celebrated stallions in his lineage, such as Lux, Pilot, Cor de la Bryère, and Landgraf, L’Esprit's pedigree is a dream. Cupido's dam-line includes both good dressage horses and jumpers. For example, his great-granddam Endy is also the granddam of the KWPN stallions Zuidenwind (s.OO Seven), Zhivago (s.Krack C), and Viento Uno W (s.Numero Uno). In addition, the stallion Van Gogh (s.Numero Uno) has his roots in this line, as does the Grand Prix dressage horse, Cocktail, sire of the legendary stallion Jazz. Thanks to grandsire Libero H, the powerhouse that won the 1994 World Cup, Cupido also carries the desired blood of Landgraf I on his dam's side. Finally, the Stallion of the Century, Nimmerdor, influences this pedigree through his son Wisconsin.
