Cebressel's sire Carthino Z was registered in the KWPN studbook with excellent scores, including a 9 for scope, attitude, and talent as a jumper. He is currently competing internationally. Carthino Z is out of a renowned dam-line which has produced several Grand Prix show jumpers. His sire Carthago enjoyed success under Jos Lansink and showed in many Nations Cup competitions. Cebressel’s dam, granddam, and great-granddam are all proven broodmares, evidenced by their preferent predicates. Cebressel's granddam Zilpa is by the keur stallion Legaat, who is by the famous preferent sire Marco Polo, known for passing on his good temperament. Among his jumper offspring are Pybalia, Irco Polo, Pierrot, and Marius. With Taipan xx in Cebressel's lineage, the well-bred stallion has a dash of desirable Thoroughbred blood flowing through his veins.
