Chopin H is a well-bred stallion by Johnson, whose pedigree combines the blood of Jazz, the world's current leading dressage sire, and Flemmingh, a celebrated sire who appears in the pedigrees of many approved KWPN stallions, such as Krack C, Westenwind, Ampère (s.Rousseau), Vivaldi (s.Krack C), and Zhivago (s.Krack C). Johnson, who became the Stallion Show Champion at age three, now has a KWPN-approved son, Breezer. He was licensed last fall. Chopin H's dam Vivaldi H keur is by Gribaldi, who has recently been in the spotlight again as the sire of Edward Gal's world record-breaking mount, Totilas. The Grand Prix horses Pasternak, Sisther de Jeu, and the KWPN-approved stallion Painted Black also descend from the black keur stallion Gribaldi, and many of his offspring are emerging in sport. Also on Chopin H's dam's side, Variant competed in the Small Tour as did Uniform, who became a preferent stallion at a young age. Among renowned Uniform offspring is the KWPN-approved stallion and Anky van Grunsven’s Grand Prix dressage horse, STV Junior.
