Anne Beth (Oscar out of Macbeth keur pref sport-(dres) by Corleone, breeder: G.W. van Norel of Wapenveld) with Vai Bruntink
As a three-year-old, the Oscar daughter Anne Beth competed in the final for ster mares at the National Mare Inspection. She also excelled under saddle in the IBOP, earning one of the highest scores ever: 89 points. She continues to perform well under Vai Bruntink because of her willingness, good carriage, and lovely basic gaits. With her talent, she was the best mare in 2009, finishing fourth in the final. G.W. van Norel is the breeder of this elite mare, who is out of MacBeth keur preferent sport (dressage) (s.Corleone). Anne Beth is also a full sister to Cover Story, the champion of the 2010 KWPN Stallion Show.
Annerijke (Jazz out of Rozarijke ster sport-(dres) by Gribaldi, breeder: A. van Essen of Ommeren) with Jennifer Sekreve
Despite her young age, the elite mare Annerijke boasts many achievements. As a three-year-old ster mare, she was invited to compete in the National Mare Inspection, and at the end of the year, she achieved the magic score of 90 points in the IBOP by earning all 9's on her protocol - a score achieved by few mares. In early 2009, she won the VSN Trophy final, and last year, she ended eighth in the Pavo Cup final. A. van Essen of Ommeren is the breeder of this light-footed, rhythmic, long-legged chestnut mare, whose dam is Rozarijke ster sport (dres) (s.Gribaldi). Jennifer Sekreve will present Annerijke in Verden.
Broere Argentino (Jazz out of Losfrie keur by Ulft, breeder: M.A.A. Broere of Bleskensgraaf) with Kirsten Beckers
The world-renowned sire Jazz is well-represented in the pedigrees of the young horses competing in Verden. Among them is Broere Argentino, a long-legged gelding with beautiful conformation and excellent movement. Bred by M.A.A. Broere of Bleskensgraaf, he is out of the keur mare Losfrie (s.Ulft). The Jazz x Ulft combination has produced several Grand Prix horses, the most famous of which is Jerich Parzival. Last year, Broere Argentino won the pre-selection for the Pavo Cup in Dronten and then finished as the Pavo Cup Reserve Champion in the final in Ermelo. Like his sire Jazz, Broere Argentino's trainer and rider is Kirsten Beckers.
Aston Martin NL (Uphill out of Uronia keur by Cabochon, breeder: G.W. van Norel of Wapenveld) with Christa Laarakkers
The well-developed and long-legged chestnut Aston Martin NL is beautiful under rider Christa Laarakkers. Last year, the third round viewing stallion (now a gelding) ended just outside the second final round of the Pavo Cup, in seventh place. Aston Martin NL is the first offspring from Uphill's first year at stud to be selected to compete in Verden. Uphill also competed in Verden. Bred by G.W. van Norel of Wapenveld, Aston Martin NL is out of the keur mare Uronia (s.Cabochon).
Astrix (Obelisk out of Upshot ster by Olivi, breeder: E.T. ten Bosch of Driel) with Emmelie Scholtens
The black Obelisk son Astrix is an expressive mover. Bred by E.T. ten Bosch of Driel, he is out of the ster mare Upshot (s.Olivi), who is out of the same line as the former National Mare Inspection champion, Sunny Girl (s.Jazz). In 2009, Astrix tied for 14th place in the Pavo Cup final under Marie-José Hulsman. Emmelie Scholtens will present Astrix in Verden.
Presidents Allright (Jazz out of The Living Colour by Royal Dance, breeder: J. Gordijn of St. Odenrode) with Laurens van Lieren
The selected stallion Presidents Allright (s.Jazz out of The Living Colour s.Royal Dance) is developing well under Laurens van Lieren. Bred by J. Gordijn of Sint Oedenrode, the big, black stallion, who is related to the keur stallion Houston, shows abundant push in the trot. In the Pavo Cup pre-selection at the Central Inspection in Dronten, he placed second behind the reserve champion Broere Argentino. Presidents Allright finished 23rd in the final.
Androdine (s.Sandro Hit) with Margreet Prosman (first reserve)
Big, beautiful Androdine (s.Sandro Hit) is another mare that will represent the KWPN in Verden. Last summer, she ended 11th in the Pavo Cup final under Margreet Prosman. J.A.M. Schel of Linden is the breeder of the dark bay mare with rhythmic movement. Her dam Pharludine elite (s.Rubinstein I) is out of a line that boasts outstanding horses, such as the approved stallion Riverman (s.Kenwood).
Aaron (Florencio out of Danielle ster by Record, breeder: W. Oplaat of Enschede) with Jana Freund
A stallion with a well-developed front end, Aaron is a son of the two-time world champion Florencio. Will Aaron follow in his sire's footsteps? Rider Jana Freund, who won the world championship with Dramatic, is more than capable in the saddle. In the training sessions/selections, she presented Aaron professionally and correctly. The stallion's strengths include his beautiful canter, which has abundant push. Aaron, bred by W. Oplaat of Enschede, is out of Danielle ster (s.Record). Last year, Aaron and Aston Martin NL earned the highest scores in the Pavo Cup pre-sections, 82 points, and Aaron finished fifth in the final standing. (wild card)

Six-Year-Olds:
Zamora (Krack C out of Mora keur by Farrington, breeder: G. Verhoeven of Kerkdriel) with Lynne Maas
Light-footed and with expressive front legs, Zamora is developing well under Lynne Maas, who advanced him to the Pavo Cup final at ages four and five. At the last KNHS Indoor Championships, the pair finished in the top three at M2-level. The chestnut gelding, bred by G. Verhoeven of Kerkdriel, is by Krack C, who Anky van Grunsven showed at Grand Prix level. Zamora's dam is Mora keur (s.Farrington), who demonstrated her talent for dressage in the performance test and subsequently advanced to Z1-level. Zamora's dam-line boasts three consecutive prestatie mares.
Zarah (Oscar out of Sarah keur by Montecristo, breeder: G.W. van Norel of Wapenveld) with Lotje Schoots
At age three, Zarah (s.Oscar) passed the EPTM test with a 9 for talent as a dressage horse. The elite sport(dres) mare with lovely movement is living up to expectations, as she is excelling in the sport under Lotje Schoots. At the last KNHS Championship at Outdoor Gelderland, she finished 5th at ZZ-light level and performed well in the selections/training sessions. Zarah, who is out of Sarah keur (s.Montecristo), was bred by G.W. van Norel. Notable horses in her dam-line include Cabochon and Amethist.
Ziësto (KWPN stallion, Lancet out of Molly ster prok s.Clavecimbel, breeder: A. de Jong of Wouwse Plantage) with Gerdine Maree
At age four, the approved stallion Ziësto just missed qualifying for the second final round of the Pavo Cup and therefore ended eighth in the competition. Last year, however, he was selected for the World Championships in Verden, and he finished third in the Pavo Cup under Gerdine Marée. Ziësto is noted for his push and rhythmic movement, traits which the selection committee hopes will be rewarded with good scores in Verden. Bred by A. de Jong of Wouwse Plantage, Ziësto is by the Grand Prix dressage stallion Lancet out of Molly ster PROK (s.Clavecimbel). Molly also produced Symphony (s.Gribaldi), who competes at ZZ-light level. The international Grand Prix dressage horse Korenbloem O’Neil (s.Jazz), ridden by Sarah Millis, is out of the same dam-line.

Spectators expressed their approval of the scores with loud applause!" as reported by In de Strengen magazine. Last winter, he won the GMB Stallion Competition under Theo Hanzon. Zhivago is a large stallion with a beautiful front end, and hopes are high that he will continue his winning streak in Verden. Bred by Pegasus Stables of Bentelo, Zhivago is out of the ster preferent mare Orendy (s.Jazz).
Zjengis Khan (KWPN stallion, Rousseau out of Univers by Rubinstein I, breeder: E.M.G. Kuijpers of Luyksgestel) with Nikki Schaap

Kuijpers of Luyksgestel is the breeder of Zjengis Khan, who is out of Univers (s.Rubinstein I), the dam of the Z1-level dressage horses Thalin and Ulivia, both by Olivi.
