The Gelder foal selection for the Equimax Foal Cup was held in the same arena used for the Pavo Cup selection, and six foals were invited to compete for the Cup in the main arena. Elvirma (Alexandro P x Laurentz), breeder/registered party: G. Hekkert of Wijhe, emerged the clear winner - as she did a month earlier in Hengelo. Although the filly is slightly under-developed, the shortcoming is quickly forgotten the moment she starts trotting. Cor Loeffen appropriately called her a "true ballerina."
