The very charming and youthful mare Brooklyn (United out of Ofanny stb by Havidoff), registered to P.J.E. Heyting-Knipping of Angeren, convincingly won the Dutch Championship for dressage mares. "What a natural way of moving, truly a model horse," remarked judging chair Arie Hamoen, praising the new champion. Brooklyn won the Gelderland Championship earlier this year.
Second place was for the expressive moving UB40 daughter, Breolita (out of Prelita ster preferent by Krack C, breeder: C.Pauw of Middenbeemster). She is registered to Stoeterij het Centrum of Wijdenes. Built nicely uphill, she moves with powerful hind legs and very expressive front legs.
The Championship included strong performances by offspring of young KWPN stallions. Among these was the third place finisher, the beautifully muscled and powerfully moving Vivaldi daughter Bulinda (out of Pabola keur preferent by Ferro). She is registered to A. Valk of Gorinchem and was bred by A.A. van der Koppel of Wadenoyen.
Nine mares were selected for the top group. The line-up included offspring by Olivi, Oscar, Sandreo, Oscar, Johnson, and Painted Black.
