Oscar son Claims Championship
The still unnamed Oscar son out of MacBeth keur pref sport(dres) by Corleone won the dressage championship. The full brother to Anne Beth - who placed fourth in the Pavo Cup - is registered to Gert Willem van Norel of Wapenveld. The victory made the celebration complete for Van Norel whose stallions Oscar, Uphill, and Winningmood produced three of the six stallions in the championship. Second place finisher Charming Utopia (Winningmood out of Vigilant Utopia keur by Oscar), is also registered to Van Norel.
The Oscar son drew praise for his outstanding conformation and three excellent gaits. "But the Winningmood son made the decision difficult," said judging chairman Arie Hamoen, referring to the chestnut stallion from Winningmood's first year at stud, bred by Eimert Fikse of Oene. "He also has outstanding conformation and three excellent gaits."
Third place was for catalog number 453, the Florencio son Charmeur (ds.Jazz); followed by 630, Carlton Hill (Uphill x Vincent); 661, Cennin (Vivaldi x Donnerhall); and 487, Chopin H (Johnson x Gribaldi).
