In the past, Gelder stallions were presented in hand for the second round viewing; this year, a new format has been implemented. As a result, Henkie, the only three-year-old Gelder stallion to pass the first round viewing, was presented in the viewing pen.

This Alexandro P son was the Dutch national champion as a foal. Bred by the Hekkert family of Wijhe, Henkie is out of the ster mare Beaujamanda (s.Upperville). With his outstanding performance in the viewing pen, he received more applause than any jumper or dressage horse! Reijer van Woudenbergh, chairman of the Stallion Selection Committee for Gelder horses, announced that Henkie will go to the third round viewing.
