KWPN Stallion Watermill Famous Wins Championship for Five-Year-Old Eventers
It was a suspenseful competition through to the end. Although the approved stallion Watermill Famous (Albaran xx x Pekezwiggy s.Karandasj, breeder: Linda and Theo Brummelhuis in Haaksbergen) with Alice Naber and the Lucky Boy offspring Lacoste with Tim Lips were tied for first place in the dressage phase, the cross-country points ultimately decided the winner.
With an 8.5 for form and balance on the course and over obstacles, a 9 for willingness and rideability, and an 8.5 for the canter, Watermill Famous was the unmistakable winner. Second place was for Tim Lips with the Lucky Boy daughter Lacoste (out of Farah s.Calypso, breeder: J.O.M. Meulendijks in Nuenen), who earned an 8.5 for her outstanding canter. Following in third place was Nienke van Roekel with Coral Estate Full Speed (Arthos x Patty la Belle elite sport-(jump) s.Lancelot, breeder: J. Inkenhaag in Renswoude).
