Isah Cup: 15 Seven-Year-Olds Keep a Clean Slate
The first leg of the Isah Cup for seven-year-olds saw a good start yesterday for 15 horses which avoided faults and, as a result, tied for first place. Among them were the KWPN-approved stallions Dantos HBC (s.Cantos, photo) with Patrick Lemmen and Don Diablo HX (s.Vittorio) with Pieter Keunen.
Yesterday, 80 talented seven-year-olds competed in the first round of the Isah Cup. In the end, 15 duos emerged clear to tie for first place, without a single fault. These included the KWPN-approved stallions Dantos HBC (Cantos out of Varaya ster s.Numero Uno, breeder: G.R. Turksema of Roden) with Patrick Lemmen and Don Diablo HX (Vittorio out of Zolaniki keur s.Calvados, breeder: Stal Hendrix of Kessel) with Pieter Keunen. Four other combinations also didn't touch wood but acquired a fault for exceeding time. Among them was the KWPN-approved stallion Durango VDL (Zirocco Blue VDL out of Narona ster pref prest s.Lux, breeder: N.H.G. Broeders of Hooge Zwaluwe) under Lennard de Boer. Another 18 combinations posted four faults each. The Isah Cup competition for seven-year-olds continues.
