With only four entries, the class was small but the mares were all high quality. Nevertheless, Hanna-Amanda was a cut above her competition yesterday.

The strong bay mare's every stride was perfect. She is another Alexandro P daughter out of Amanda II (s.Farrington), and therefore a full-sister to Kaya-Amanda, who was crowned the champion foal earlier in the day. Hanna-Amanda was bred by the Hekkert family in Wijhe and is registered to Cyriel Niessen in Hulsberg. The Reserve Champion title went to Hilde, another Alexandro P daughter. She was bred by E. Schoots in Tonden and is currently registered to W.G.A. Streppel in Wilp. A mare with an excellent wither and shoulder, she uses her body very well in motion, according to jury chairman Reijer van Woudenbergh.
