Also this year the Stallion Selection Committee Dressage was able to recommend several stallions for the keur predicate. The following dressage stallions are promoted to keur stallion: Rousseau, Vivaldi and Johnson. The stallions receive the predicate based on amongst others their inheritance of a good exterior and their offspring that distinguish themselves in the dressage sports. For this reason the three sires will be represented by some of their finest progeny.

Brand-new keur stallion Vivaldi (Krack C out of Renate-Utopia ster pref prest s.Jazz, breeder A. Versantvoort of St. Oedenrode) will be represented by his three approved sons: Eye Catcher (Vivaldi out of Ostrona elite pref prest s.T.C.N. Partout, breeder G. Snoeks of Oss) with Kirsten Brouwer, Expression (Vivaldi out of Melody keur pref sport-dr s.Vincent, breeder G.W. van Norel of Wapenveld) shown by Diederik van Silfhout and Desperado (Vivaldi out of Sarita keur pref s.Havidoff, breeder fam. Andeweg of Randwijk), ridden by Emmelie Scholtens. These three stallions have also represented our country at the World Dressage Championships for Young Horses, where Eye Catcher won the bronze medal. Another bronze medal-winner in Verden, the stallion Dream Boy (Vivaldi out of Resia elite s.Ferro, breeder T.J.M. Coomans of Oud-Beijerland), can be admired this night, although now we will see him with his new rider Hans Peter Minderhoud in the show revolving the European Championships-team. Moreover, we will be able to enjoy the talents of Cennin (Vivaldi out of Vitana V. elite sport-dr s.Donnerhall, breeder J.E.J. Cuppen of Someren), Madeleine Witte’s trump out of her previous Grand-Prix mare Vitana V (Donnerhall out of Lantana V ster pref s.Hemmingway, breeder P. Verdellen Paarden Fok & Opfok of Horst). Zanzibar HDS (Rousseau out of Olanda ster pref s.Inspekteur, breeder A.A. van der Koppel of Wadenoijen), Watoeshi (Rousseau out of Resie II vb s.Lancet, breeder J.M.J. Jacobs of Reijmerstok), Zippo (Rousseau out of Niky stb s.Haarlem, breeder W. van Rooy of Bergeijk) and Eventz Zamacho (Rousseau out of Jeria ster s.Rossini, breeders P.G. Bijvelds of Veghel and A.S.M. Bijvelds of Erp) will show why their sire Rousseau (Ferro out of Zsuzsa ster prest sport-dr s.Roemer, breeder J.D.A. Haak of Philippine) deserves the keur predicate. Eventz Zamacho and Jill Huijbregts have won several GP U25 competitions already, amongst others one in München in May 2015 and recently they were successful in Roosendaal. Zanzibar HDS was auctioned in the KWPN Select Sale in 2007. His dam Olanda is the granddam of KWPN-stallion Apache (UB 40 out of Tolanda elite pref s.Krack C, breeder A.A. van der Koppel of Wadenoyen). Jeroen Hamelink will ride this talent, while Grand-Prix horse Watoeshi will be shown by his rider Nicky Broxterman. Patrick van der Meer has had many successes with Zippo, such as the recent victory in the GP Spécial in Mechelen. And we sure expect to see a lot more from this duo in the future! Glock’s Johnson TN N.O.P. (Jazz out of Roxane keur pref prest sport-dr s.Flemmingh, breeder P. van de Vleuten of St. Oedenrode) is remarkably successful at the highest level. With Hans Peter Minderhoud he won an individual bronze medal and teamgold at the European Championships in Aachen last year. However, we also know him as an outstanding sire, proven by his talented offspring that will put their best foot forward in Den Bosch: the by Theo Hanzon presented Top’s Eddieni (Johnson out of Zodienirava elite EPTM-dr sport-dr s.Negro, breeder E. Trouwborst-Dumoré of Standdaardbuiten) recently performed great in the selection rounds of the indoor championships ZZ-Z. He is leading the rankings together with Cupido (Johnson out of Identiek STV keur prest sport-dr s.Duko, breeder M. Smits ofDen Dungen), ridden by Arthur van Rooij. Dion Johnson (Johnson out of Vinea M ster s.Ferro, breeder C.C.E. TH. V.Andel of Abcoude) is ex aequo leading the the rankings of the selection rounds in the Small Tour. Marlies van Baalen will be present with this appealing gelding. His halfbrother C. Johnson competes with Imke Schellekens in the Small Tour.

The German rider Hendrik Lochthowe will show the appointed stallion Meggle’s Boston to the audience, with which he is successful in the Grand Prix. Denise Nekeman was crowned Dutch National Champion with Boston STH (Johnson out of Volmie ster s.Quattro, breeder J.W. Temmink of Vorden) last year and the duo contributed to team silver at the European Championships for Young Riders. Boston was sold for 62.000 euros in the 2009 KWPN Select Sale and came in an impressive fourth position at the 2011 World Dressage Championships for Young Horses. The Spanish rider Morgan Barbancon will ride her talent Bolero, who she took over from her sister Alexandra. In short, with so much talent, we are in for a treat! This show will be hosted by Bert Rutten, chairman of the Stallion Selection Committee Dressage, former rider of Rousseau Nicolette van de Leeuwen and Hans Peter Minderhoud, rider of Vivaldi and Johnson.
