“We do not always listen to the audience, but this time we did!”, explains Cor Loeffen  after crowning  the public’s favourite In Between (s.Toulon) of the Venderbosch family as the champion of the jumping stallions. The impressively jumping Dexter R-son I.Wellie R 58 was placed second. 

Already during the first round viewing, the stallion In Between (Toulon out of Zuduela ster pref s.Berlin) , bred and owned by De Radstake BV, stood out via his natural jumping abilities, athletic canter and sense of overview over the jumps. In Den Bosch he revealed himself once again as a sensational jumper and received a big applause by the audience directly after finishing his test. “His qualities have also not escaped our eyes and we happily proclaim this well-rounded Toulon-son champion! Both rounds he jumped fantastically, with a powerful take-off, a lot of reflexes and showing good overview. Moreover, he comes out of a good National Mare Championships- dam and ditto bloodlines.” The chestnut stallion I.Wellie R 58 (Dexter R out of S.Wellie 12 elite sport-spr s.Mermus R, bred by Stal Roeloefs from Den Ham) owned by jumper Stefan Adamowicz was placed second. “This stallion was one of the horses causing a stir in free jumping.” Following the championship round, the stallion was sold for 70.000 euros in the KWPN Select Sale. Third in the championship round was the good jumper Itoulon van de Katenhorst (Etoulon VDL out of Wianka H elite EPTM-spr s.Corland, bred by J.A.J. Verschoor from Hellendoorn and R.Scheppink from Nijverdal) owned by VDL Stud. “This stallion jumped really well in both the first and second round viewing. He was very careful and showed a good technique today.”

The Bubalu VDL-son Ivaro (out of Beamonika keur IBOP-spr s.Quidam de Revel, bred by Th.H. Gelink from Lievelde) owned by VDL Stud was placed fourth. This athletic stallion possesses a good canter, good reflexes and seems to have a lot of scope. Fifth was the sharp Arezzo VDL-son Inferno U, jumping with good reflexes. Inferno U is bred by W. Uenk from Nijbroek out of dam Bumanda keur IBOP-spr s.Ukato and is owned by Egbert Schep and Cor van der Linden. Closely following in the ranking, was the youthful, complete Kannan-son Idrigill van de Groote Kamps (out of Wersina I stb pref prok IBOP-spr s.Indoctro) owned and bred by E.W.J. Bakker from Raalte.
