Once again Tinus van der Bruggen witnesses a home-bred horse move to the stables of a top equestrian. The five-year-old jumper talent and KWPN approved stallion Casago is sold to the Italian Piergiorgio Bucci and his sponsor Peter Fehlbaum. The sale came about via Willem van Hoof, who prepared the stallion when he was younger for the Stallion Show and the Performance Test.

Casago is a son by Casall x Carthago Z, a combination of sires that immediately drew Piergiorgio Bucci’s attention. His top stallion Casallo, that was owned until he was three years by Willem van Hoof, also descends from Casall x Carthago Z. “I saw Casago when he was a three-year-old and just saddle broken at Willem van Hoof, it was love at first sight. I tried to buy him, but the breeder did not want to let him go just yet. When I saw a video of Casago this year, I immediately recognised him and I telephoned Willem to ask if he could help me purchasing this stallion. With the exception of Casallo, he was eight years old when I bought him, I buy my horses at a young age. Casago is something special, I think. He has the quality and the brains. His intelligence and mentality give you an incredible feeling when you ride and jump with him,” explains an enthusiastic Piergiorgio Bucci.
