KWPN Championships: Iveniz Texel RS2 (s.Negro) claims title
The 13 most impressive mares were invited to the championships round in the afternoon. The audience's favourite was the attractive Iveniz Texel RS2 ster prok (Negro out of Veniz stb prok pref s.Krack C, bred by Wim van der Linde of Texel; owned by RS2 Dressage Center De Horst BV in Groesbeek). "What a fantastic mover, a true champion!" praises chairman of the judges Marian Dorresteijn. The top two mares of Friesland placed second and third: Ivita ster prok (out Wavita elite IBOP-dres sport-dres s.Sir Sinclair) of breeders Henstra and Henstra from Drogeham and I’Actrice VDL elite IBOP-dres (Don Tango B out of L’Actrice s.Lorentin I) owned and bred by VDL Stud. The latter already performed a great IBOP-test with a score of 84.5 points with the American rider Jackie Ahl-Eckhaus from San Luis Obispo.

Le Formidable danced to the title. This black beauty is a son of Bordeaux (bred and owned by S. Poel and K.F. Gerrits, Heusden) and comes out of the mare Vienna elite pref (s.Ferro), that also produced KWPN-stallion Four Legends KS that was recently sold in the EDS auction for 605.000 euro.
Marianne Hendriksen Dressage Breeder of the Year
Marianne Hendriksen was awarded the title of Dressage Breeder of the Year. She has bred KWPN-stallion Amazing Star (Flemmingh out of Thaliavrouwe ster pref s.Ferro) and the Olympic horse GLOCK’s Undercover N.O.P .
