Incredible champions at National Harness Horse day
To date, National Harness Horse Day boasts the highest attendance of the entire KWPN Horse Days event. This edition the entire site was buzzing once again.
Greet Bergsma Bokaal
The Greet Bergsma Bokaal in harness went to the m are that defended her title: Wendelrose (elite by Manno, bred by C. Mooiweer from Doornspijk) of Black Horse BV in Sliedrecht. The mare was presented by Mark de Groot. Second was Gardenia HBC (keur van Victory, owned and bred by HBC-stal uit Boijl) with Harry van Middelaar. The mare was also crowned Horse of the Year. Henk Hammers was third with Dieni II (keur sport s.Unieko, registered/bred by Janus Plaisier from Leliestad).
Manno Trophy
The battle for the Manno Trophy was one between Robbie van Dijk with Fantijn (owned by Gebr. Van Manen) and Dylano (owned by M. de Groot from Giessenburg & Black Horse BV) and Mark de Groot. Eventually Fantijn claimed the victory.
Renovo Schaal
Brandy (s.Uromast) of Brandy Consortium took the Renovo Schaal for the fourth time in a row. A close second was the stallion Cizandro of Gebr. Van Manen from Ede & Gebr. den Otter from Bruchem with Robbie van Dijk.
Mare inspections
At the inspections the strong mover Joy (Eebert x Patijn, breeder J.K. Nagtegaal from Hollum) of Johan Smink placed first of the two-year-old mares. The three-year-old mare class's champion was Ilanda (Eebert x Manno, breeder J.P.C. Ermens from Oploo) of Hennie van Manen and Viggon van Beest. In the class for keur elite mares Gesiena (Atleet x Fabricus) of breeder Jurjen van de Velde was crowned champion for the second year. Family Van der Velden were celebrated as Breeders of the Year.
2-year-old stallions and foals
Jägermeister (Delviro HBC x Larix) of breeder Henk van Voorts from De Bilt triumphed in the 2-year-old stallions class. Colt Luxor (full brother of the winner of the two-year-olds) owned by breeder J. Nagtegaal was announced as champion of the foals.
