Rideability, quality in motion and a good disposition: those are the traits which convinced the Stallion Selection Committee this afternoon to approve nine dressage stallions in the performance test. Sons of Bon Bravour and Everdale each received the top score: 86 points.

As with the jumper stallions, the majority of the dressage stallions in the fall performance test scored more than 80 points. ”We were able to approve a diverse group of stallions, which we expressly selected for rideability. Another consideration in dressage horse breeding, the walk, we visibly included in our evaluation. That allowed us to approve a variety of stallions with a good to very good walk,” explained jury chairman Bert Rutten.

Top Scoring Stallions

Two stallions finished the performance test with a wonderful score of 86 points. One of these took part in the voluntary test: the very complete Everdale son Inclusive (out of Doutzen ster prok by Uptown, breeder: R. Enting of Grolloo), registered to Gertjan van Olst and Dick Faro. The stallion had the requisite fans in the well-occupied stands in Ermelo. “Inclusive has three very good basic gaits, is very trainable and stands out with his good body position and balance. A very complete dressage horse, for which we're very pleased that the registered parties remained confident and offered him again through this test,” said Rutten.

Iconic B (s.Bon Bravour)[/caption] The impressive Iconic B (Bon Bravour out of Niniek STV keur pref sport-dres by Jazz), bred by and registered to Stal de Beukenvallei, was approved with the same score. This son of the Grand Prix mare Niniek STV earned 9's for his very good walk, trot, canter and disposition. He is a well-developed stallion who also shows talent for collection.

Approved Champion

Of the nine approved stallions, eight passed the performance test with a score of 80 or higher. Among them was the talented champion Indian Rock (Apache out of Crisjena keur IBOP-dres by Vivaldi, breeder: J. de Bruijn). Thanks to his remarkable canter and desire to work, he received 81 points. With 83.5 points, the Davino V.O.D. son Incognito (out of Dolce Vita stb-ext by Vivaldi) succeeded in shining the spotlight on the breeding business of Breeder of the Year, Marianne Hendriksen. A light-footed mover, the stallion stands out with his good self-carriage and canter.

Everdale Twice

In addition to Inclusive, who was awarded 86 points, the Stallion Selection Committee approved a second Everdale son:  Inverness (out of Cyraniek elite by Johnson, breeder: Y.M.M. van Maasacker of Cuijk). This very trainable stallion earned a 9 for his remarkable canter and was approved with 82.5 points. With one point less, the Negro son Indigro (out of Pralina elite sport-dres d-oc pref by Jazz, breeder: J. Deenen of Heijen), a stallion with three good gaits and excellent focus, was also registered in the studbook. The Winningmood son Il Divo (out of Aronia keur IBOP-dres by Oscar), registered to breeder Gert Willem van Norel, was approved with 81 points. He is a stallion who boasts a good walk and uphill movement.

Remarkable Trainability

The Charmeur son Invershin (out of Ifradin keur sport-dres pref prest by Balzflug, breeder: René Franssen of Boven-Leeuwen) also made a big impression with his good rideability and trainability. With a 9 for this component of the test, he was approved with a total of 80 points, just one point more than the slightly sensitive and light-footed Apache son Intro K (out of Zastrade ster prok d-oc pref by Rousseau), registered to Daan and Dirk Kösters.
