Last week the jumper stallions were the first to compete in the Blom’s Stallion Competition. Some familiar names but also some newcomers were on top of the leaderboards.

Chapeau TN and Zoï Snels keep winning at L Class Zoï Snels and the four-year-old Chapeau TN won the Isah Cup this last summer. Now they were able to keep up their winning streak.  They won the first round of the Blom’s Stallion Competition in the L Class at the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo. The pair received a convincing score of 51 points, given to them by Pieter Kersten and the German judge Peter Teeuwen. This score was more then enough for the Clearway-son to win. "Chapeau TN allows the rider remarkably easy to lead him through the course. Every time he does exactly what he is supposed to be doing. Truly a horse that knows his job", explained Pieter Kersten. Rider Zoi Snels beamed afterwards. "You go out as the winner of the Isah Cup, so the expectations are high. Chapeau was still not at his peak today, but he is a horse that always gains lots of points for his jumping. But there is much more to come!", assures Zoi Snels. With both in the first and in the second round an 8.5 for jumping and an 8.5 for rideability Chapeau TN’s points were far out on top.

Albert Zoer and Gallant win the M Class, Grandorado TN second With Six-year-old Florian, Albert Zoer just missed the win, but with the five-year-old Gallant he was the man to beat. The Grey stallion could win the first round in the M class of the Blom’s Stallion competition. Willem Greve rode the powerful KWPN-Stallion Grandorado TN and took second place. He was followed by Bart Bles with Gino. In a Jump-off where everything seemed to work for Albert Zoer and the cooperative Mylord Carthago-son Gallant, the pair went for the win. With a time of 33,86 seconds it was clear that this result could not be easily beaten. Lennard de Boer and Global Express VDL did their utmost, but got 8 faults as a result of their attempt.

Jur Vrieling and Freeman VDL take the first win in the Z & ZZ class. In a competition between the E and F-birthyear, Jur Vrieling was able to take the win in this first round of the Blom’s Stallion Competition in the Z-ZZ Class. He did this with former KWPN Stallion Show Champion Freeman VDL. Five riders made it to the Jump-off. Vrieling and Freeman were the only ones who took the risk and managed to stay clear.
