The KWPN Select Sale for Jumper stallions was successful. The reserve champion Jonkheer de Span (v.Farfan) was the highest seller and several stallions went abroad for good money.

Before the KWPN Stallion Show started, the collection consisted of 17 stallions. During the event, five more stallions were rewarded with a Wild Card and added to the collection. One of them was the Reserve Champion Jonkheer de Span (Farfan M out of Celebration Z by Calvin Z, bred by H.J.M. Span from Zevenaar). The impressive bay was sold for 62.000 euro to the combination Stal Brinkman, Gerrit Jan van der Pol and Hans Hendriks. Koen Brinkman speaks for the group: “We had our visor on this stallion from the first viewing unwards. We are very happy that we could secure him here in the auction. He is not saddle broken yet, but everything goes like plan, we hope to bring him to the spring performance test.” For 48.000 euro the accepted stallion Jumper Verdi (Verdi out of Votti Lottie ster PROK by Fuego du Prelet) to Beijing. The well jumping bay was bred by A.A.F.M. Weermink from Neede. These same buyers also secured James Dean A. This son of El Clarimo (out of Axessa EPTM-spr by Indoctro, b/rp H. Albers from Valthermond and registered with M.Herbers from Valthermond) is also accepted for performance testing and was sold for 34.000 euro. The total revenue of the auction was 569.000 euro. The average price was 26.000 euro with an average price for the accepted stallions of 42.000 euro. 70% of the stallions was truly sold and next to the two stallions going to Beijing, two went to Germany, one to Belgium and one to Egypt.
