Grandorado TN convincing winner
The M Class final in the Blom KWPN Stallion competition was convincingly won by Grandorado TN ridden by Willem Greve, the large bay won with superiority the M class today and with that the Competition 2017. Good second was Lennard de Boer with Global Express.
Grandorado TN was already leading the standings before the finals started. But the difference with the number two, Global express was only small. After the jump off of Lennard de Boer and Global Express, that was very quick and without any faults, Greve did not have another choice then to take lots of risk. In the first round, Grandorado TN was quite fresh and Greve had his hands full to get him round. But in the jump off that was completely different. The stallion went round in his impressive, powerful canter. His time of 37.06 seconds was quite a bit faster then the 38,21 that Global Express had achieved. Willem Greve reflects afterwards: “He’s got so much energy, this horse, sometimes that is a bit difficult to control. In between the first round and the jump-off I only did some gymnastic work with him, and in the jump-off he went much better. I am sure if we would do another four rounds, still the last one will be the best. That energy that you need later, but at this moment it is sometimes a bit difficult to be the pilot. I am glad that it is done and we succeeded.”
Eight in jump-off
Behind Grandorado TN and Global Express, the third place was for Gino under Bart Bles. The bay worked superbly with his rider and secured the third place he already had in the standings of the competition. A total of eight stallions made it to the jump-off. In fourth place was Golddigger ridden by Jeanette Corbeek, in fifth was Gaspahr with Pieter Keunen, sixth Gerardus with Gerbert te Koppele, seventh Connect with Caroline Mùller and Grand Slam VDL with Lennard de Boer finished in eighth place.
