Tonight, the sons of Totilas were the ones that called the shots in the Isah Stallion competition in the L Class. Total U.S. showed an exceptional test and won the day competition. In the overall competition, Trafalgar could not be beaten. “He is just such a super nice workwilling horse, he could not have done better tonight", said the happy rider Marieke van der Putten.

The L class was quite thrilling. The top 3 stallions were only devided by two points, so it could go in any direction. And also the number four, Total U.S. was very close and had the chance to finish high. Dinja van Liere did where she came for and showed a tremendous test with the Totilas-son that was bred by Gestüt Lewitz. The elegant black stallion was highly rewarded by the judges. Chair Karin Retera: “Dinja really rode an excellent test. The stallion has lots of elegance and self-carriage. Maybe he could show a bit more length in front, but he showed a very clear walk. He could have stayed a bit more quiet in the contact, therefore ‘only’ a 9. In trot he has a very nice use of the frontleg and a nice posture, the same can be said for the canter. A very strong test.” Total U.S. got 87 points and won the day competition. Dinja was clearly satisfied. “He goes better and better at home, he is just growing more mature. That it also went this well at a competition is really cool. He keeps surprising me in how much he can do. I feel really privileged to ride a horse like this. ”

Top 3 In the last group the three topstalloons of the leaderboard came in. Daily Diamond with Dana van Lierop, Hometown with Diederik van Silfhout and Trafalgar with Marieke van de Putten. All three of them had won a leg in the competition and only two points devided them, everything could happen! But when the test started it was quickly clear who was going to win. Trafalgar showed himself optimally. With lots of expression and suppleness he went through the arena. Retera: “The walk has lots of groundcover, resolut and clear. The trot shows lots of expression and suspension. Sometimes the frontleg could be a bit more even, but still a 8,5. The canter shows also a lot of balance and is very lightfeeted, also an 8,5. With an 8,5 for harmony and an 8 for overall impression, the total came at 83. More than enough for the final win in the competition. “I was very happy with my test”, said Marieke. “He felt really nice. Sometimes he can be a bit too eager, but he did not respond to this environment, he is just the same as at home. I did not feel any pressure, I know he will just do it. He will now have some time off, we only do some stallion shows. After that we will try to select for the World Championships in Ermelo. But today, it could not have gone better!”
