Hear, see and learn in the Netherlands
After four intensive days at the KWPN Stallion Show, it was not over yet for the foreign visitors. They could go with the guided tour on Sunday February 5th that went to visit Van Baalen dressage stables and De Wiemselbach in Ootmarsum, especially known for their jumper stallions.
Travelling by bus, the group went to see the two completely different, but evenly hospitable horse businesses. Daan Horn showed the guests around the impressive De Wiemselbach Stud. The KWPN-stallion Hanley (s.Tornesch), who performed well last Thursday in the L Class of the Stallion Compatition, was shown in his stable, but proved to be very photogenic. Of course the tour also resulted in a Meet & Greet with the famous KWPN-stallion Numero Uno. At Van Baalen Dressage Stables an interesting group of dressage mares was shown. Despite her busy schedule, Marian Dorresteijn, member of the KWPN Stallion Selection Committee and sister of Coby van Baalen, came by to comment on the mares that were presented by Coby and her team. The guests were obviously impressed with the presentations, the information they got and of course the famous stallions and mares.
