The Prix St. George class that started the CDI1*, ridden during the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses, today was a reunion of familiar faces. Winner was the mare Electra, last year the highest placed KWPN-horse of the seven-year-olds.

Lynne Maas’s mare was in top shape. The daughter of Jazz (out of So What elite pref sport-dr s.Ferro), bred by R. van Heuvelen from Nijkerk and H.F. Bernoski from Bleiswijk) that was crowned Dutch National champion of the Small Tour a few weeks ago, performed a good test that was rewarded with 74.210% and stayed ahead of the silver medal winner of last year, Fiorucci (s.Florencio) with the Swedish Jenna Hogberg (73.464%). The third place was, similar to the national championships, claimed by Mariek van der Putten. She presented Emperio MB (s.Armani out of Mylottie elite prestatie by Houston, bred by M. de Boer from Beilen) for her new employer RS2 Dressage. The combination received 71.353%.

Familiar face

The fourth place was again for a familiar face to the world championships, one that reached the finals last year. Karin Nijvelt’s Elysias (Jazz out of Whisper D ster PROK s.Rhodium, bred by Stal de Utrecht from Esbeek) earned 70.307%. Jenneke Overduin and Candreo (Sandreo out of Iarina van Zeoliet, bred by A. Oosting from Orvelte) closely followed with 70.043% and thus positioned fifth.
