She was very close yesterday, but today the third position in the small final guarantees Mara de Vries and Farzana’s spot in the final. Lynne Maas outdid herself with –what’s in a name- Fantastique, resulting in the second price and a ticket to final. Standing O’vation, representing Luxembourg, won this class.

This brings the total to five KWPN-horses in the final of the seven-year-olds! Besides the horses placed this afternoon, these are the yesterday qualified President’s First Apple, Ferdeaux and Fleau de Baian. In the small final, another twenty-seven combinations were judged by the jury and afterwards every test was provided by the jury comments via the South-African Sharon Rhode.

Fantastique was ridden by Lynne Maas. The jury commented: “An impressive and uphill modelled horse. We think this horse has a shiny grand future ahead of here.” The charming daughter by Vivaldi is born out of Bonbon by Florencio and bred by Patty van Zwang from Dordrecht. Afterwards, Lynne felt really good about her performance. “Naturally the flying changes are still a bit green but that is no wonder given her age of 7 years and her standing at 1.80m tall. We really went for it today. It was only her third competition, Fantastique is such an easy-going horse, because she stays focused and does what is asked of her!”
