Yesterday, the foals in the first KWPN Online Foal Auction of 2017 were auctioned, 21 Foals came under the virtual hammer, 90% of them were actually sold.

This auction is organized to give breeders an extra opportunity to market their foals. This way they can make use of the brand KWPN and the facilities the studbook can provide. Buyers can find foals that come directly from the breeder, that are seen by a KWPN inspector, have a correct conformation and are seen by a vet.

Bidders came from 8 different countries and three continents. Besides Holland and Belgium, bids came from China, Kuwait, Finland, Russia, France and the US. In the end, three foals went to the US, two to China, two to Belgium and the 12 others stay in Holland.

The total proceedings were 79.000 euro with an average of 3767 euro. The two most expensive ones were the Harley VDL x Corland which goes to China and the Jaguar Mail x Zapatero VDL, that stays in Holland. Bids went to 5000 euro for both.

The next KWPN Online Foal Auction will take place from September 9th until 11th. One of the auction lots will be a breeding by Glock’s Toto Jr for the DVB Foundation. Again an interesting group of foals from well-known dam-lines are selected. The collection exists of no less than 65 foals, comes online on September 1st on the online auction platform www.kwpnonlinesales.com
