Malibu TN (s.Mr.Blue) runner-up in M Class
In the M Class of the Blom Stallion Competition, that was won by Like Angel (s.Los Angeles) and Peter Olthof, the resident rider of Team Nijhof, Zoï Snels made a strong impression. He was the runner-up with Malibu TN (s.Mr.Blue), and Highway M TN (s.Eldorado van de Zeshoek) finished in fourth.
No less than twelve pairs placed for the jump-off that showed a lot of quality. No one could compete against the super-quick round of Peter Olthof and the German bred stallion Like Angel owned by René Tebbel. Zoï Snels had a convincing try with the KWPN-approved stallion Malibu TN (Mr.Blue out of Ursula elite pref prest by Hors la Loi II, breeder R. van Heel from Dreumel) and finished with a very nice ride in second place. “I rode three stallions in this class, and we knew that Malibu TN was the quickest at the moment. I really went for it. Unfortunately I did not succeed by a hair, but the way he jumped and let himself being ridden, I can only be pleased”, Snels says. “Now that the jumps are a bit higher, he is jumping better over time. Mr.Blue-offspring are often a bit late and Malibu TN is developing fantastically.”
Spectacular stallions
Another spectacular ride came from Bart Bles and the KWPN-approved stallion Heathrow (Der Senaat 111 out of Zuhr by Dollar de la Pierre, breeder J. Timmer from Zweeloo), who finished in the third time. He combines quick reflexes with a lot of scope and managed to show some super jumps. That could also be said about the number four, the KWPN-approved stallion Highway M TN (Eldorado van de Zeshoek out of Zelana PROK by Chellano Z, breeder Peter Verdellen from Horst) ridden by Zoï Snels. “I ride him since this spring and I think he can become a phenomenon. He has a lot of quality and is, just like Malibu TN, extremely careful. I was the only rider with three horses in this class, so it was a bit hectic, what gave me some tension in the jump-off, but despite that, he jumped really well today.”
