Is it ever boring to win? “No way!”, Lennard de Boer laughs, after he won the Z-Class of the Blom Stallion Competition with the KWPN-stallion Global Express.

When he was five, the KWPN approved stallion Global Express (Oriënt Express out of Dame Ricard by Laudanum xx, breeder Haras de la Gisloterie) who is ridden by Lennard de Boer, won the Isah Cup and had several wins in the Blom Stallion Comepetition in the M Class, after he finished in second place the year before. In Ermelo the pair did what they came for, winning!

Multiple winner

Four horse-rider combinations managed to reach the jump-off. Two of them stayed also clear in that second round. The second fastest time was for Micky Morssinkhof who is riding  the KWPN-approved stallion Graziano (Baltic VDL out of Rienaldine ster by Great Pleasure, breeders Henk and Andreas Barenkamp from Ter Apel) only for a short while. With his former rider Steven Veldhuis the stallion got a fourth place at the World Championships in Lanaken. It seems that he can continue his winning streak ridden by Morssinkhof without any effort. But the highest honor went to Global Express en Lennard de Boer. “In the jump-off we were the first to start. Therefore I tried to set a quick round without taking too much risk. Global Express is very quick by nature and I never have to motivate him any extra”, the rider says. “We like to take Global Express to shows. And the reason why, he has proven again today!”
