Giovanni repeats his performance in Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition
After Giovanni, ridden by Franka Loos, secured their first win in Ermelo, yesterday in Zuidbroek, the pair repeated this performance in the Z class of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition dressage.
With a total of 82 points, Giovanni (Chippendale out of Zarava elite IBOP-drs sport-dres by Scandic, beeder Cees van Etten) who was ridden by Franka Loos, stayed one point in front of his major component Gunner KS (Belissimo M out of Ronnevanck ster pref prest sport-dres by Vincent, breeder Arthur Kleijwegt) ridden by Dana van Lierop. “Giovanni moved with so much power and strength. Sometimes he could stay more relaxed over the back. His walk is clear, with enough ground cover. His trot has lots of suspension and a good technique. Also in canter, he shows good jump and activity with easy flying changes. For his talent we gave him an 8,5”, Monique Peutz said afterwards. She judged the stallions together with Gert van den Hoorn.
Gunner KS runner up
Scoring 81 points, the winner of the Kronenberg leg, was now in second. “Gunner KS forms a beautiful, harmonious combination with Dana. In canter they had a small disturbance, but he moves, just like in the trot, with a beautiful use of the front leg. He could develop more activity and suspension from behind, but it was a beautiful test and he shows that he has a lot of talent.”
