Jumping clear throughout the entire competition is an impeccable performance. Both Ipsthar (Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof out of Vestha stb prest by Farmer) of Geert Moerings, with son Bas Moerings in the saddle, and I Am Codex (Codex One out of Capitola Z by Calvaro Z, bred by Martien van de Bruggen) under Bart Lips made not a single mistake in the three selection legs and the final. A top performance!  Geert Moerings comments: “Great to win here, though we did not set this as a goal. Ipsthar knows exactly what must be done and is has such a good mentality. Now he gets some rest and then on to the 1.20m class, he is clearly ready for it.”

Double victory for Highway M TN

Zoï Snels was the eighth and last to enter the jump-off in the M-class. The competition victory was already in the pocket on the merit of the big advantage he built up over the three previous legs. However, the pair had their eye on the day win as well. And they succeeded, as they bested the fast results of Bart Bles and incredibly jumping Der Senaat 111-son Heathrow (out of Zuhr by Dollar de la Pierre, bred by J. Timmer). A double victory for the combination! “This was our goal! We worked towards it and if it all comes together, it is such an amazing feeling for the entire team. Highway M TN is an extraordinary horse. You press the button and you win,” jokes Zoï Snels. A deserved win for the Eldorado van de Zeshoek-offspring by Team Nijhof, bred by Peter Verdellen out of Chellano Z-mare Zalana PROK.

Consisten Graziano triumphs

Lennard de Boer and Global Express (Oriënt Express out of Dame Ricard by Laudanum xx, bred by Haras de la Gisloterie) and Graziano (Baltic VDL out of Rienaldine ster by Great Pleasure, bred by Henk and Andreas Barenkamp) under Micky Morssinkhof held the same trumps at the start of today’s final. After Global Express could not maintain his clear streak, all it took was a clear round for Graziano to win the stallion competition Z-class. “I picked the wrong distance in the line to the last oxer in the jump-off, resulting in a pole down but that was entirely my fault. He did so well and I am super proud Graziano won the stallion competition!” says Micky, who took over the reins from Steven Veldhuis several months ago. In the final rankings, Lennard de Boer placed second with Global Express.
