G-year presents itself in Den Bosch
The stallions from the G-year, born in 2011, had no obligation in the stallion competition in Den Bosch. Their riders showed how the training of the by now seven-year-old stallions is progressing. Seven stallions made their appearance in the Brabanthallen, where they did not perform test but showed their strong features.
Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale out of Thuja pref by Negro, bred by J.W. Rodenburg from Ouderkerk aan den IJssel) was ridden by Charlotte Fry and presented with bravura his trot and canter. The stallion proved to have gained strength through his improved front leg and showed off his talent for the pirouettes via his powerful canter.
New rider for Ferguson
Ferguson (Floriscount out of Liebelei by Lauries Crusador xx, bred by Erika Luetjen, Grasberg) was presented by his new rider Antonio Laiz Zandio. The stallion showed lots of technique in his front leg and according to jury Bert Rutten, the expression will only increase as the collection will develop further.
Grappa
Grappa (Fidertanz out of Zazoo ster pref PROK by Special D, bred by J. Woudsma from Ruurlo) was also presented by a new rider. Jean-René Luijmes demonstrated the perspective of the by Adelinde Cornelissen developed Grappa.
Governor
Governor (Totilas out of Orleans elite pref prest PROK by Jazz, bred by J.B.J.M. Streppel in Wilp) displayed his natural ability for the first time after the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. In Ermelo the stallion obtained silver, in Den Bosch he showed he is right on schedule training-wise. The flying changes form no obstacle to him and collection before the pirouettes comes easy to him.
Ghandi
Ghandi (Bojengel out of Beaudea elite EPTM-dres PROK by Tuschinski, bred by M.A. de Groot from Erp) scored top points as a six-year-old in the Pavo Cup. Together with Kirsten Brouwer the stallion performed all tasks effortlessly.
For this event only, Jorinde Verwimp rode Guardian S (Bodyguard Moorland out of Amadin elite pref sport-dres IBOP-dres PROK by Trento B, bred by Stal van der Sande from Liempde). Guardian S displayed control and poise. Without doubt, the stallion that is the most-developed in his training and one to watch in the future.
George Clooney
Charlotte Fry presented the black George Clooney. A powerful and effortless canter, combined with well-executed flying changes, reveals that George Clooney is getting ready for the top-level dressage.
