20 jumper stallions at the performance test
Last week, also the jumper horse stallions have taken a stable at the KWPN-center to start the spring performance test. 18 accepted stallion and two stallions that take part in the voluntary test have made a start in the test.
The delivery went smoothly. All horses were found trainable and none of them had any major veterinary remarks. “We have accessed 18 three- year-old stallions that were ridden by their own rider in walk, trot and canter. They were all well rideable although some of them were quite impressed by their surroundings. But that is not a problem at this stage”, Stallion Selection Committee Chair Cor Loeffen explains. “We did not let them jump today, because we only wanted to assess if they are well-trainable. We have to wait and see how they jump. There were only some minor remarks from the veterinary but nothing that stood in the way of starting the test. “
Voluntary and under-saddle presentation
Out of the four entered stallions to take part in the voluntary test, only two were present. Both Kay (s.Carambole) from Gerard Korbeld and Kensington ES (s.Cornet Obolensky) from Egbert Schep were accepted. At the end of the day, two four-year-old stallions were presented by their own rider for the under-saddle presentation. They both did well and are allowed to come back in three weeks time. After the next assessment it is decided if they may stay for their 50-day performance test”, said Loeffen. These stallions are the Kraque Boom-son Envole Moi from De Havikerwaard and Easy Top de Courcel (s.Type Top du Monteil) from Combinatie Aaldering-Swelheim.
