The Gelder-bred Henkie came in second position in the qualification for six-year-olds. The Alexandro P-son was well within minimal distance of Villeneuve, a son of the KWPN-recognized Vitalis. Three KWPN-horses can compete once again for a medal in the final on Sunday. The other seven KWPN-bred horses may start in the small final, whose top three still qualifies for the final.

Under Adelinde Cornelissen, Henkie (Alexandro P out of Beaujamanda ster by Upperville, bred by G. Hekkert of Wijhe) showed off why his perspective as dressage horse is valued at a 9. The Gelder stallion convinced in his trot, which was given a 9.2, the highest mark for the trot in this class. The walk was certainly not overvalued at 8.5 and in his canter the stallion displayed his power (8.6). Total: 8.76, at 0.1 distance of the winner. The complete top 3 received a 9 for perspective as dressage horse, which indicates anything can happen in the final.

Powerful trot of Habana Libre A

The fifth position was taken by the powerfully trotting Habana Libre A. This Zizi Top-son (out of Daiquiri A elite sport-dres IBOP-dres PROK D-OC by United, bred by Y. Ackermans of Heerewaarden) scored a 8.7 for canter and the highest grade of the class for submission: a 9. This meant 8.62 in total and the fifth position for him and his rider Diederik van Silfhout.

Hermès straight to finals

Dinja van Liere steered the KWPN-stallion Hermès to a consistent grade list. A 12thplace (7.96) just secured a place in the final for this Easy Game-son (out of Bukkie keur pref EPTM-dres by Flemmingh, bred by G. Gijsbers of Loosbroek).

Hot Chocolate

The handsome Hot Chocolate (Apache out of Bamba elite sport-dr PROK by Dreamcatcher, bred by Lizbeth de Jager & Esmee van Gijtenbeek) placed just outside this group of 12. WC-debutant Esmee van Gijtenbeek rode her Apache-son to 7.76 points. The Spanish José Antonio Garcia Mena obtained the same score with Garcia Mena. The Johnson-son stands out in his trot (8.2), but gave in some points in his walk (7.8).

Habibi DVB

This is the second year in a row that Habibi DVB (Don Schufro out of Davina DVB elite pref IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by Johnson, bred by Dressuurstal Van Baalen in Brakel) competes in this championship. The chestnut stallion has clearly developed farther and performs the work seemingly without any effort. Habibi DVB placed 19thwith the following marks: canter 8.2, walk 6.9, trot 7.9, perspective 7.6, total 7.6.

Extra canter of Haeden

The twentieth position is for the Chippendale-son Haeden (out of Valeriecara H.J.B. PROK by Haarlem, bred by H.J. Bakker of Berkhout). The gelding gave in some points in the walk, which means that with 7.54 Ingrid Malan gets another chance in the small final. The same applies to the Apache-son Hero (out of Zanalanda ster PROK by Metall, bred by M.A. van de Goor of Herpen). One of the most beautiful horses in this qualification, but because of some tension the grade for the walk was a bit lower. This resulted in a 22ndposition for Emmelie Scholtens.

Hello d’Ottie first KWPN-horse to enter arena

The first KWPN-horse to start was Hello d’Ottie (Jazz out of Uni d’Ottie elite PROK by Sandro Hit, bred by T. Huizing of Donderen). With the New-Zealand rider Sarah Wilkinson the mare scored an average of 7.24 and a 28thplace.

Hiatina

Hiatina (Rhodium out of Ratina L ster pref prest by Lancelot, bred by M.A. van de Goor of Herpen) did not convince with her walk (6.8) of trot (6), but showed a strong canter series (7.6). A 6.3 for submission and a 6.5 for perspective had the scoreboard display 6.62 and a 38thplace.
