A marvelous world championship for the Dutch paradressage riders and the Dutch bred horses. In Grade V, the complete podium was taken by KWPN-bred horses and in Grade IV Demantur N.O.P. won the Freestyle to music, letting Sanne Voets conclude her world equestrian games with three gold medals. Findsley repeated gold with Rixt van der Horst, while El Corona Texel and Alphaville N.O.P. took silver. The bronze medals went to Djazz and Wallace N.O.P. What a score!

The Dutch paradressage team wrote history at the world equestrian games in Tryon by winning team gold. Team Orange, that started off strong with solid performances, received fierce competition from Great-Britain. Germany could collect the bronze.

British success

C Fatal Attraction won every test in Tryon with his British rider Sophie Wells. In the Freestyle to music, the Fidertanz-son (out of Tolivi s.Olivi, bred by E.E. Brandon of Wigan GBR) scored 80%, ahead of Frank Hosmar and Alphaville N.O.P. (Sandreo out of Marcia keur s.Iglesias, bred by A. Hendriks of Reek) at 79.15.

24 medals

It is the 24thmedal for Frank Hosmar, who now competed at ten international championships. Two silver medals and a gold team medal mean Hosmar can return for home with a smile. “We have had a fantastic world championship by defeating the British riders. I have been a part of the Dutch team for 10 years now, and we were not able to pull this off before. I am very proud of Alphaville N.O.P. He really did his best in the heat.”

KWPN-podium

The podium was completed by Djazz F (Jazz out of Wulianthe F ster by Sir Sinclair, bred by Mts. Stal de Fuik in Sint-Oedenrode) and the Japanese Tomoko Nakamura, scoring 73,54%. The last spot in the final was claimed by Cassandra (Sorento out of Supreem pref prest PROK by Jetset-D, bred by G.J.H. Markhorst – van de Velde of Brucht) and Ahmed Sharbatly.

Demantur N.O.P. wins Freestyle to Music

Sanne Voets and her Demantur N.O.P. (Vivaldi out of Kaylee keur prest sport-dres by Elcaro, bred by A.M. Reuzenaar of Schaijk) almost passed the 80% and that kept the competition at bay. “I could not be prouder. When I arrived I was the world champion in the Freestyle to Music with my other horse Vedet PB. I have all to thank to that special horse. Now Demantur has won triple gold, they have to share that position.”

Another gold for Findsley

In Grade III Rixt van der Horst was on course for gold once again. With Finsley (Belissimo M out of A-R. Gila ster pref by Obelisk, bred by N. van Vliet of Nieuw-Amsterdam) the rider scored 77.34%, enough for the second individual gold medal today. El Corona Texel (Wynton out of Urieta Texel elite pref prest EPTM-dres sport-dres PROK by Goodtimes, bred by Wim van der Linde)and the American Rebbeca Hart obtained the bronze medal.

Bronze for Wallace N.O.P.

In Grade II the bronze was claimed by Wallace N.O.P. (Future out of Ogineke ster PROK by Rohdiamant, bred by A.W.M. Luyten of Oirschot). Nicole van den Dulk steered the gelding to 74,57%. Vladimir (Gribaldi out of Merrie Tos by Ferro, bred by G. Jobing of Ekehaar), under the Brazilian Marcos Fernandes Alves, received over 65% in the final test.

Grade I: Faleva

In Grade I the fifth place was taken by Faleva (Zizi Top out of Rileva by De Niro, bred by G.J. Wilgenhof of Gelselaar). She obtained 72.46% with the Belgian rider Eveline van Looveren.
