The collection of the 19th edition of the KWPN Select Sale is online! 30 stallions are published with photos and a video on the auction site www.kwpn.org/select-sale. On Thursday January 31st (jumping) and Saturday February 2nd (dressage), the stallions will go under the hammer of auctioneer Frederick de Backer.

The selectioncommittee(s) have compiled the best possible collection. In addition, some outstanding stallions can be added to the collection via the wildcard system. The jumping collection is previsionally selected based on their performances in the first viewing in Ermelo. They will be finally selected after their performance in the second round.
All the selected dressage stallions have been selected based on their performances in the first viewing and on the lunge at the KSS videoday.

All selected stallions have undergone full sport inspection and have all been considered acceptable for a sports career. The vet reports can be viewed at the KSS stand during the KWPN Stallion Show.

KSS successes
Over the years it has been shown that the KSS has auctioned many successful sporthorses and stallions. The now approved stallion Knock Out (by Ebony) was sold for 40,000 euros last year and subsequently received the highest points of his class in the performance test. But also VDL Groep Zidane from Leopold van Asten and Vignet from Johnny Pals, who both jumped Nations Cups for the Dutch team, have proved successful.

Interesting dressage collection
But also this year’s collections are looking promising.
For example Luxe PB (George Clooney x Jazz) is a half-brother of the KWPN approved stallion Five Star. The mother of Eye Catcher son Lex V.O.D. (mv.Uphill) is a half-sister of the KWPN approved stallions Davino V.O.D. and UB 40. The granddam of GLOCK's Toto Jr. son Lord Toto's Fascination is also the mother of the KWPN approved stallion Grand Galaxy Win. Out of the dam line of the horse Goliath (s.Zebulon) of Arjen Teeuwisen, who won team silver at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, comes Lananco A (Governor x Ferro). The dam of L'Homme HM already gave several dressage horses, including the Small Tour horse Astron (v.UB40) and Watteau (v.Jazz) who runs U25 under Lisanne Zoutendijk. The granddam of L'Homme produced the KWPN approved stallion and Grand Prix horse Ravel (by Contango) from the American rider Steffen Peters and the Grand Prix horse Show Time (by Contango). From the dam line of Lagoon W (Governor x Krack C) KWPN-approved stallions such as Krack-C offspring Tolando and Grandeur son Landeur. Lincom's Lord Heros CL (by Heros Begijnhoeve) comes from a damline which has produced already several Grand Prix horses, such as: Chuppy Checker (v.Osmium), Chopin C.L. (byDayano), Worker CL (by Rhodium) and several Small Tour horses.

Preliminary jumping collection
As mentioned, the jumping collection is provisionally composed. The provisional collection consists of stallions descending from 'Horse of the Year 2018' Verdi, silver medal winner WK Young Showjumping Grandorado TN, and proven stallions like Ustinov, Berlin and Kannan. Furthermore, descendants of Golddigger, Aganix du Seigneur, Connect, F-One USA and Quickly de Kreisker complete the collection. The mother of Kannan son Lovekey SR performed at 1.40m level herself. The promising KWPN approved stallion Etoulon VDL also comes from this dam line from which several 1.40m, 1.50m and 1.60m horses have already showed their qualities. Quickly the Kreisker-son Quality Boy PB Z is a half-brother of the international Grand Prix-horse and KWPN-approved stallion Carrera VDL, also Tinka's Boy who has been approved for several is coming out of this damline.
