A sold out Brabanthallen witnessed some phenomenal talents in Anemone Horsetrucks Stallion Competition Dressage on Friday night. The stallion competition, for stallions turning 5, 6 and 7 this year, was won by respectively Jameson RS2, Imposantos and Hermès. 

 

Imposantos lives up to high expectations 

The one to watch this final was Imposantos (Wynton out of Zarina elite IBOP-dres PROK by Krack C, bred by Willy Wijnen of Berlicum). The impressive stallion, ridden by Bart Veeze, closed the deal through an impeccable score of 94 points. Judge Mariette Sanders- van Gansewinkel: “Everything went well today, what we see here is a horse with an incredible future ahead.”   

The well-modeled Indian Rock (Apache out of Crisjena keur pref IBOP-dres by Vivaldi, bred by J. de Bruin of Schelluinen) and Emmelie Scholtens scored 89 points. The canter was the absolute highlight: “In the canter Indian Rock shows lots of expression, self-carriage and light-footedness.”
85 points in the final secured a third overall position for In Style (Eye Catcher out of Sissy by Lorentin I, bred by Joop van Uytert of Heerewaarden). The sympathetic stallion again stood out in rideability, being presented by Esmee Donkers who replaced the pregnant Renate van Uytert. Joyce Lenaerts steered Iconic B (Bon Bravour out of Niniek STV keur pref prest sport-dres by Jazz, bred by Stal de Beukenvallei of Leende) to 86 points in the final and a fourth place in the competition. The highest mark was awarded to his walk. 

Only the four best scoring stallions were in the race for the title. The following stallions demonstrated their talent in a presentation:

·  Inclusive (Everdale uit Doutzen ster PROK van Uptown, fokker R. Enting uit Grolloo) onder Charlotte Fry

·  Intro K (Apache uit Zastrade ster pref PROK D-OC van Rousseau, fokker Daan Kösters uit Schijf) onder Femke de Laat

·  Imagine (Chippendale uit Damaris ster IBOP-dres van Jazz, fokker familie Bijvelds uit Erp) onder Laura Reija

·  Impression (Don Schufro uit Wicara elite pref IBOP-dres PROK van Ferro, fokker M.J.C. Maat uit Doorn) onder Diederik van Silfhout

Hermès prevails in Z-class

The bronze medalist of the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses triumphed in the stallion competition. Dinja van Liere and the stallion bred by the Gijsbers family of Loosbroek scored 88 points in the final, winning the overall competition. Hermès (Easy Game out of Bukkie keur pref EPTM-dres by Flemmingh) was praised for the way he performed the figures, resulting in a 9 for submission.  “The canter work of Hermès is very strong. We see lots of elasticity and impression.” Geniaal (Vivaldi out of Wocky elite IBOP-dres PROK D-OC by Biotop, bred by family Traa of Maren-Kessel) scored 88 points as well, receiving a 9 for the trot, canter, submission and overall impression.

Jameson RS2 canters for a 10 to title

“This horse has it all to be a star,” sighs Mariette Sanders- van Gansewinkel after the test of Jameson RS2 (Blue Hors Zack out of Atilinda M keur pref IBOP-dres sport-dres, bred by Stal 104 of Wijdewormer). The Blue Hors Zack-son scored 91 points with Marieke van der Putten, claiming both the day and competition victory. The canter was awarded a 10. “This is what we want to see,” explains the jury. Another canter powerhouse is the vice-champion Jayson (Johnson out of Zamora B elite pref IBOP-dres PROK by Negro, bred by W. Verschuren of Heukelom), that received 80 points in the final. Jheronimus  (Dream Boy uit A.Bertje ster pref PROK van Jazz, fokker W.P.S. van Weert uit Beesd), correctly presented by Gerrel Vink, received 81 points. Johny Cash (Bon Bravour out of Bukkie keur pref EPTM-dres by Flemmingh, bred by G. Gijsbers of Loosbroek)and Theo Hanzon scored 80 points, remaining just ahead of Kirsten Brouwer on Joyride(Ampère out of Vidora E.H. elite sport-dres PROK by Jazz, bred by De Engelse Hoeve of Grashoek).
