Delviro-son Lanto V.D.B. champion Harness stallions
The championships battle of the Harness stallions was one between two quality stallions: Lanto V.D.B. (Delviro x Patijn) and Las Vegas (Eebert x Plain's Liberator). Tall, dark and handsome Lanto V.D.B. received the prestigious title.
Chairman of the stallion selection committee Johan Hamminga: “We have some topnotch harness horses in the arena.” When one looks at the selection criteria for harness horses it becomes clear that the Delviro-son ticks all the boxes. “Lanto V.D.B. is an elegant stallion with an impressive front and long, well-formed neck. The stallion extends and collects with no effort and has a strong topline. He generates his powerful movement from the back, rising his front and showing a high, active knee and lots of freedom in the shoulder. Lanto V.D.B. is already 1.68m and his damline is one in which size is anchored, this lineage has produced the competition horse Wieke V and KWPN-stallion Indiana.” Lando V.D.B. is by Delviro HBC out of Urby V ster pref by Patijn and was born in the stables of D. van der Boon.
Las Vegas (Eebert out of Boukje keur pref by Plain’s Liberator, bred and owned by P. de Groot of Leerdam) was declared vice-champion. He was praised for his expressive front leg, active hind leg and freedom in the shoulder. Las Vegas descends from the dam line of the approved stallion Idol, a lineage filled with predicates.
