Le Formidable undisputed champion!
The prediction that the expressive Le Formidable (s.Bordeaux) would become the champion buzzed through the Brabanthallen since Friday. The crowd pleaser was just crowned as undisputed champion.
16 dressage stallions were appointed to the performance test today, bringing the total to 49 stallions including three stallions for the five-day-test. After the third round viewing the championships round formed the thrilling conclusion, in which seven horses were invited for a final head-to-head. The victory for Le Formidable (Bordeaux out of Vienna elite pref prest PROK by Ferro) of breeder Saskia Poels and co-owner Karel Gerrits, came to no one’s surprise. “With all due respect to the other stallion, we can say that Le Formidable is the clear champion here. He has so much elegance, balance and power, we enjoyed every second of his performance!,” spoke Bert Rutten enthusiastically.
The uphill moving Lennox W (Grand Galay Win out of Herarona elite IBOP-dres D-OC by Rousseau, bred and owned by Bas Wilschut) was pronounced vice-champion. The bronze was for the genetically interesting, light-footed Lance V.O.D. (Glamourdale out of Heliana V.O.D. elite IBOP-dres PROK by Davino V.O.D.) of breeder Ad van Os and co-owner Van Olst Horses.
