With an average lot of 16,000 euros in 2018, the Borculo CSI Foal Auction’s first edition proved to be a direct hit. In the run-up towards the upcoming edition, this success clearly is reflected in the trust that suppliers of top jumping foals have in the auction’s concept. It helped our selection committee, consisting of Floris van Leuken and Pieter Jan Berkers, to put together a truly superb collection of jumping foals for the auction taking place on Friday May 24 during Jumping Schröder Tubbergen. This extraordinary collection, including all relevant information, can now be found on www.veulenveilingborculo.nl.

Comme Il Faut, Berlin & Candy de Nantuel
Taking a look at the jumping foals, we first encounter the attractive Orlando Grandia (Candy de Nantuel x Heartbreaker) in his turn is bred out of Zovjet Look Sow, classified at 1.45m level, and a daughter of the famous Sovjet Look, the late Sven Harmsen’s former top horse. Then we have the abundantly lined Opertuno (Comme Il Faut x Numero Uno), descending from the direct dam line of Olympic horse Liberty (Laura Kraut) and her full brother Ocana.

Halifax & Vannan
Oelala (Halifax van het Kluizebos x Numero Uno) also lives up to his name. This colt’s young dam Jutravola stems from a pure performance line. To conclude, we present Ovation W (Vannan x Quidam de Revel) as the sixth top talent. His reputable dam Delia W is a sister to world-class horse Arrayan (Carlos Lopez).

The foals introduced above make the ideal recipe for a successful second edition of the Borculo CSI Foal Auction, befitting the Borculo Foal Auction’s fortieth anniversary. On Friday evening May 24 the collection will come under the hammer at the attractive venue of the international Jumping Schröder Tubbergen top horse show. Six weeks later exclusive dressage foals take the stage for the Borculo CDI Foal Auction during the Outdoor Gelderland Dressage Gala, on Saturday July 6. The 2019 auction season will be concluded with the well-known Borculo Elite Foal Auction, which has been on the agenda since 1979. This takes place Wednesday August 28 (jumping foals) and Thursday August 29 in the appealing PSC Lichtenvoorde accommodation in Vragender, Netherlands.
