Just like last year, the KWPN is on top of the WBFSH-studbookranking for as well the dressage as the show-jumping horses. With the eventers the KWPN shows to be in the top as well with a third place on the ranking.

The WBFSH-rankings are calculated over the period of the 1st of October 2018 untill the 30th of September 2019. During the year the horses can earn points at all international FEI-competitions and in championships there are bonus points to be earned, after which they will be placed on success order. The best six horses of every studbook contribute to the eventual position of the studbook in the FEI/WBFSH-ranking.

Show-jumping horses
With the show-jumping horses Explosion W (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet, breeder Willy Wijnen) is responsible for the most points. He is proudly on top of the WBFSH-ranking and with this the best performing horse of the past year. On the fourth place in the ranking is Maikel van der Vleuten’s Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway, breeder Jan and Paul Bocken) and also Creedance(Lord Z x Notaris, breeder Antonio Hassing) contributes to the points with a ninth place. Also Dublin V (Vigaro x Calvados, breeder De Radstake), GC Chopin’s Bushi (Contendro II x Nairobi, breeders Gebroeders Van der Steen) and the KWPN-licensed stallion Darry Lou (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Nabab de Rêve, breeder Roelof Bril) counts for the KWPN. With this the KWPN collected 9664 points, and is followed by Westfalen (7941) and Zangersheide (7828).

Dressage horses
The KWPN does well with four dressage horses in the top twelve of the individual ranking and the presence of stallions is striking. Verdades (Florett As x Gova, breeder Piet Crum) is still the best KWPN-horse and is currently in fifth place, followed by KWPN-licensed stallion Blue Hors Zack (Rousseau x Jazz, breeder Bas Wilschut) on a sixth position. Also KWPN-licensed stallion Blue Hors Don Olymbrio (Jazz x Ferro, breeder Jan Lamers) is in 11th place on the ranking, the other Jazz-son Vancouver K (Jazz x Ferro, breeder G.M. Korver) is in 12th place. Another KWPN-approved stallion in the ranking is Glock’s Dream Boy N.O.P. (Vivaldi x Ferro, breeder Tim Coomans) and Buriël K.H. (Osmium x Krack C, breeder P. Bakker) contributed to the top position of the KWPN with a 16th and 24th position on the individual ranking. In the dressage-studbook ranking Hannover ended in second place and Westfalen is in third place.

Eventing
Last year the KWPN also took the lead with the eventing horses and this year the studbook ended third, behind the Irish Sport Horse Studbook and on only five points backlog on Hannover. Bayro (Casantos x Corland, breeder H.W.J. van den Bosch) of Tim Lips is individually second on the ranking and with this contributes to the studbook. Also Zagreb (Perion x Nagano, breeder H.J. Leijster) is part of one of the best eventers in the world with his eighth place. Also de good results of DHI Babette K (Marlon x Nimmerdor, breeder P.G. Kruizenga, 36th), Bart L JRA (United x Gribaldi, breeder H. Litjens, 39th), Deniro Z (Zapatero VDL x French Buffet, breeder J. Zilverberg, 48th) and Ferreolus LAT (Jaguar Mail x Royal Dance, breeder A.J.M. van Esch, 59th) count for the good ranking of the studbook.
