The very successful KWPN keur stallion Sir Sinclair (s.Lord Sinclair), of Iron Spring Farm, is named dressage sire of the year in the USA for the fifth time in a row. Sir Sinclair was bred in the Netherlands by Monica Drohm.

Drohm bred Sir Sinclair out of the Flemmingh-daughter Krishna. She bought the mare when she was two years old and bred 17 foals out of her. The mare performed on Z1 level herself until a injury got in the way of her career. In 2007 Krishna was sold to the USA where she enjoyed her pension. Last year she died on the age of 26.

Sir Sinclair was sold in the KWPN Select Sale for 360.000 euros to the USA. He was used as a sire regularly and has given many appealing and successful offspring. Also in the Netherlands he already gave a lot of good dressage horses whom perform on the highest level. An example of this is Zantos (out of Ralucienne by Havidoff), who performed up to international Grand Prix level with Jacqueline van Grunsven. In 2015 he was named keur at the KWPN.
