Six horses that have delivered fantastic results this year are in the running to become ‘Horse of the Year 2019’. Who is your favorite? Today one of the nominated horses is highlighted.

GLOCK’s Johnson TN
The 17-year-old GLOCK’s Johnson had a beautiful goodbye during the KWPN Stallion Show 2019. His last public performance with Hans Peter Minderhoud, whom emotionally thanked the stallion for his many years of effort. Jazz- son GLOCK’s Johnson was born in 2002 on February 23, in the stables of Piet van Vleuten. As a foal he was purchased by Team Nijhof. His success started when he was the champion at the KWPN stallion selection in 2005. In the recently announced WBFSH-sire ranking Johnson was in second place thanks to his good performing offspring.

Successful career
As a young horse GLOCK’s Johnson TN already had a lot of successes in the sport. He earned the reserve title in the Pavo Cup for four year olds in 2006. During the KWPN . During the stallion competition in 2007/2008 Glock’s Johnson TN was the undisputed winner. In the Small Tour he also had some successes such as silver on the Dutch Championship and winning the VHO Trofee in 2011. In 2013 he made his Grand Prix debut. In 2014 he won the bronze medal with the team during the WEG in Caen, followed by a gold team medal and individual bronze during the European Championships in Aachen. In 2016 GLOCK’s Johnson TN was one of the participants of the Olympic Games in Rio. Al these years and all of these successes were with his rider Hans Peter Minderhoud.
