Six horses that have delivered fantastic results this year are in the running to become ‘Horse of the Year 2019’. Who is your favorite? Today one of the nominated horses is highlighted.

The nominated horses are:

  • Blue Hors Zack
  • Explosion W
  • GLOCK’s Johnson TN
  • Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve
  • Verdi TN
  • Zaïre-E

Zaïre-E
The only mare in the nomination is the Son de Niro daughter Zaïre-E. This mare was born in 2004 at Stoeterij Empelaer in Lage Mierde. Since 2014 Zaïre-E performs successful on Grand Prix level with Jessica van Bredow-Werndl and at the age of 15 she is still in top shape. This combination got a personal top score twice of 77,87% in the Grand Prix and no less than 85,83% in the kür. Besides this there were multiple international victories. Like in both tests in Ebreichsdorf with 82,25% in the kür and a win in the Grand Prix in München-Riem. In total where were ten top-3 placings in fourteen starts. This year they already earned a second place in the world cup qualification in Budapest-Fót. For next year the world cup final is in the planning for Zaïre-E.
