Tomorrow the KWPN Stallion Show 2020 starts! On Wednesday and Thursday the show jumping enthusiasts can indulge themselves and on Friday and Saturday the dressage, harness horse and Gelder stallions will captivate the audience.

On Wednesday the first part of the second round viewing for the jumper stallions takes place. On Thursday the day starts with the second part of this second round viewing, followed by the presentation of the selected stallions and for the first time ever stallions will be declared premium. In the afternoon the stallions approved in 2019 will be presented to you, among which the champion of 2018 Kannan Jr. (s.Cornet Obolensky) and Lambada Shake AG (s.Aganix du Seigneur) who recently passed his performance test with 90 points. Then the new predicate stallions will be presented, Zirocco Blue VDL, Arezzo VDL and Eldorado van de Zeshoek will be named preferent. Also the KWPN Select Sale is on the program again, around half past four the interesting collection of 19 show jumping stallions will be auctioned.

Young show jumpers
The evening program contains the finals of the Blom Stallion Competition. In between the L and M class an interesting clinic by Willem Greve and Sjaak Sleiderink will take place. These top riders are going to show and explain to the audience how they educate the young horses of the SFN (Show jumping Fund Netherlands), they do this in the saddle of Juwel SFN and Iceman B SFN. The night is closed of spectacular with the VHO Trophy of 1.40m combined with the 1.50m Grand Prix, in which young approved stallions will compete.

Dressage-, Harness and Gelder horses
On Friday and Saturday a spectacular show program is put together. Besides the second round viewing the Friday and Saturday are filled with many clinics, presentations and shows. On Friday the Gelder stallion Kardieno will enter the arena with his rider Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard, last year this stallion was sold to Andreas Helgstrand. After this the stallion Bordeaux will be named keur, in this presentation Renate van Uytert – van Vliet will be in the saddle. Back to the Gelder stallions as Jupiler S, Ibsen B and Imposant EM will present themselves as finalists of the Stallion Competition for Gelder horses.

Clinics and shows Friday evening
The Friday evening has a full and diverse program. The youth is present and will give the audience a show in a quadrille of Children and Juniors that won the silver medal at the European Championships and the Young and U25 riders, that also won a silver medal, will give a clinic. Also the sport is part of the program, as the VHO Trophy takes place again. Two more ceremonies will take place this evening with the Horse of the Year Johnson and the Jazz in Memoriam, in which several Jazz children will enter the arena. Young stallions on their way to the Grand Prix level will show the audience their abilities in the ‘Road to Grand Prix’. Diederik van Silfhout will give a clinic with the top stallion Expression, and the evening knows a spectacular ending with a clinic of World Champion Jovian with Andreas Helgstrand himself!

Spectacular closing on Saturday
The Saturday starts with the second round viewing for the dressage and harness horse stallions. Then the traditional Oregon Trophy makes for spectacle in the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Then seventeen young talented dressage stallions will be auctioned in the KWPN Select Sale. Followed by the finals of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition dressage. Some presentations will take place in between the classes, and a special show with Friesian horses! The KFPS presents ‘the black gold’ with four Friesian stallions. To close of the KWPN Stallion Show in style, Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud will give a show with their young talents.
