Kincsem prevails in stallion competition L-class
The final of the Blom Stallion competition L-class was an exciting finish to this season, as the three leaders of the rankings pulled off another clear round. Michelle Dijkerman steered Kincsem to the win.
Three stallions did not drop a single pole in the two rounds at Kronenberg, Vragender and Zuidbroek, grabbing the lead ahead of the final. The breeders were thus treated to some exciting sports. The majority of the stallions crossed the finish line with no penalties. Amongst them were the three leaders: Kincsem (Carrera VDL out of First Buresco elite IBOP-spr sport-spr PROK by Ginus, bred by Nick and Aat Smit) under Michelle Dijkerman, Kuala Lumpur (Arezzo VDL out of Filandra JR elite IBOP-spr PROK by Indoctro, bred by Jan Reitsma) under Marco Sas and Kensington ES (Cornet Obolensky out of Athletin by Athlet Z, f/g Egbert Schep) with Caroline Müller. In this sequence the three were ranked after yet another clear round in the jump-off. "I am so thankful to Marc and Julia Houtzager for the opportunity to ride such a good horse as Kincsem. This was my first stallion competition and to win it right away is the best-case scenario," says Michelle Dijkman.
