Foal out of Vivaldi’s dam sired by Le Formidable is born!
A special filly has been born at Van Bockxgrave Horses. A daughter of stallion champion Le Formidable out of the dam of the preferent stallion Vivaldi.
The most famous offspring of Jazz-daughter Renate-Utopia is the KWPN-approved Vivaldi. Breeder Cindy Versantvoort chose Le Formidable for this Renate-Utopia last year. She sold the embryo during the KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction to Yannick van Wijk. This foal has now been born and she was named Promesse.
Crazy about her
“It seems very good”, Yannick tells satisfied. “I find her a very pretty, blood made foal. She is high on her legs and has an expressive head. I am crazy about her. She moves really well, from back to front. We hope that she grows into how it looks right now, and that in a few years we have success with her in breeding as well as in sports.”
Genetically interesting
Yannick would have been happy with as well a colt or a filly. “It didn’t really matter for me, it is mostly important that the foal is healthy. A stallion from this line and out of the first crop of Le Formidable would have been nice for the stallion approval; but I am also happy with a filly. She is interesting for breeding. I like Vivaldi, but besides him there are also many more sport horses out of this dam line. Our goal is to breed a good sport horse and this is a really good line.”
