For years the KWPN organisaed Online Foal Auctions during summer. And also this year, KWPN will help its breeders with the sale of his/her foal(s). Given the success of recent years and the current corona crisis, it has been decided to start online foal auctions earlier and also to organize more auctions.

Physical auctions cannot take place for the time being due to the corona crisis. The KWPN has many years of experience with online auctions and over the years has built up a large international buyer audience. Just like last year, every collection appears online on a Monday, the bids start on the Friday after this and the auction closes after the weekend, on Monday evening from 8PM.

Auction dates
The very first KWPN Online Foal Auction of 2020 is scheduled for Monday July 6, the collection which will be available on Monday June 29 can be viewed on the auction website www.kwpn.auction.
All auction dates:

• June 29th collection online, closing auction Monday July 6^th
• August 3^rd collection online, closing auction Monday August 10^th
• August 17^th  collection online, closing auction Monday August 24^th
• September 7^th collection online, closing auction Monday September 14^th
• September 21^st  collection online, closing auction Monday September 28^th
• October 5th collection online, closing auction Monday October 12^th

Service and convenience
Nothing is changed in the concept of last year, to make it as easy as possible to join the auction for the breeder. Breeders only have to leave home once with the mare and foal. During the photo and video day, the foal is assessed by a KWPN inspector on exterior and in movement and clinically inspected by a vet. The veterinary report will be published on the auction website of the foal concerned and potential buyers can obtain more information from the inspector by phone.

Transport abroad
The KWPN considers it important to support both buyer and seller as much as possible. In collaboration with our sponsor Horses2Fly it is possible to organize the transport of the sold foal abroad. The KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction has used this several times by various foreign buyers. A nice extension of the service, especially because more than half of the foals sold went abroad last year.
